Sean is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Cortland Credit, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees all portfolio management and underwriting activities. With over 20 years of experience in global fixed income and private lending, Sean brings deep institutional expertise and a track record of managing debt investments across both developed and emerging markets. He previously led the fixed income platform at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan—one of Canada’s largest institutional investors—where he was responsible for managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios and building high-performing investment teams.

At Cortland, Sean sets the strategic direction of the firm while ensuring that every investment decision reflects Cortland’s disciplined, capital-preserving approach. His leadership is grounded in a global perspective, deep market insight, and a strong commitment to aligning the firm’s investment policy with long-term client objectives.
