Rachael Girolametto Prosen is Legal Counsel at Cortland Credit Group Inc., where she supports the execution of a broad range of legal and transactional matters across the firm’s private credit platform. She works closely with Cortland’s investment, origination, and underwriting teams, as well as external counsel, on the review and drafting of term sheets, credit agreements, and ancillary documentation to ensure transactions are efficiently structured, negotiated, and closed in accordance with best practices and internal policies.
Prior to joining Cortland, Rachael practiced at McMillan LLP in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services Group. Her experience includes commercial lending, real estate financings, acquisition and project finance, securitizations, and regulatory matters, providing her with a strong foundation in complex financial transactions.
Rachael brings a pragmatic, solutions oriented approach to legal advisory work, informed by her combined background in business and law. She holds an Honours Business Administration degree from Western University’s Ivey Business School and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto.
