Bolei leads the execution of the firm’s underwriting process across new and existing credit facilities. In this role, Bolei is responsible for managing deal-level diligence, including financial analysis, legal review coordination, and the maintenance of data rooms for prospective investments.

He develops detailed financial models to assess credit quality, downside protection, and collateral coverage for potential and portfolio borrowers. Bolei prepares and maintains comprehensive credit memoranda and amendment analyses for presentation to the Credit Committee and plays a key role in ongoing portfolio monitoring by analyzing borrower performance, covenant compliance, and material corporate developments.

Prior to joining Cortland, Bolei was a Private Credit Investment Analyst at BC Investment Management Corporation, where he gained experience underwriting institutional private credit investments. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Renmin University of China, a Master of Arts from Columbia University, and a Master of Finance from McGill University. Bolei is a CFA Charterholder.
