Duane Morrison


Prior to Cortland, Duane was Vice President, Originations for a Canadian asset-based alternative lending firm from 2011 to 2020. From 2001 to 2011, he held progressive roles with Roynat Capital, Scotiabank’s mid-market specialty lending arm, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and closing term debt, leasing, mezzanine, and equity investments.

Duane holds two graduate degrees including a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Applied Environmental Studies in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo.

Duane is a Vice President, Deal Originations for Cortland Credit Group. He is a business development and capital markets leader with 25 years of middle market lending and investing experience encompassing asset-based lending, real estate financing, equipment leasing, subordinated debt and mezzanine financing and equity investing.
